Food and drink is crazy expensive. Good location, but you have to have a car
Excellent food. Accomodation good but mainly built for conferences. Location is reasonable for a Metro journey to Oslo and also benefits fr good mountain views.
Would have liked in room coffee/tea making facilities.
Great view, excellent staff.
A bit remote if you just need a bed for the night in Oslo, but it was about the last room available for booking in the whole region. The subway/tram takes you almost all the way to the doorstep so it was OK.
The hotel is located on the forests which surround the city of Oslo, Lovely hotel in a romance atmosfere. The restaurant is excellent. Ten minutes walk to the metro station. Take care, because you have to walk on the road which cross the forest. The first time could be impressive, but you need not to worry about nothing, the promenade is very quite , as well as lovely. In a very expensive city, as Oslo is, this hotel offer you a balance amid elegance and saving money
Amazing location, very close to the famous ski-jumping center of Holmenkollen above Oslo (about 15 minutes drive from the city, or 25 minutes by local train). Very quiet, super clean air, Dux beds, friendly staff.
The double room we booked over Booked.net was in fact a room set up for one person, which required hotel staff to bring an additional amenities after our check-in. We made two independent bookings, it happened both times.
small bed and bathroom unsuitable for having a shower
Nicely decorated hotel and rooms, great indoor swimming pool and sauna in green surroundings near Oslo. Easy to get there by car.
Good breakfast. Metro station for town centre very close by.
Seems a serious upmarket hotel for Norwegians. Attitude to tourists quite cold. No TV in room ! (First time I have seen this for years, and no mention on the website.) Breakfast ends at 9.00 a.m., and I even saw a mother and child turned away at precisely 9.00.
Loved everything about it, excellent service, great breakfast and room with a view. Transport into easy, wished we had stayed longer.
Excellent hotel with very good service and excellent food.
good breakfast, quit area, great service
breakfast during weekend starts not before 9am
Very nice hotel, with nice furniture and a very good athmosphere.
Could be som background music in the brakfast room; so quiet that it was difficult to talk to my companion.
Friendly staff, great location and amazing breakfast!
Half of the rooms do not have television and are small and old. We upgraded to a junior suite which was another world compared to our first room. Also the cleaning staff did a very poor job on the second day, didn't refill anything and hardly made the effort to Rufus the bathroom.
The peacefulness, the beautiful surroundings, the cleanliness, the friendly and serviceminded staff, the traditionalness, and almost a bit homly feeling
Located up out of the Oslo centre, it feels like one has escaped to the country. However, it is only a ten or twelve minute walk to the rapid transit station, and thereafter a twenty-five minute ride down the steep track into the centre of town. The hotel feels classy and luxurious, staff was helpful, and the included breakfast was very good. Quiet, with good view out the window of the lovely Norwegian hills.
A convention was on which meant there was no room in the hotel restaurant. This would have been a problem if we had not had a car...
